Jörgen was unanimously voted as CML’s new Chairman, after serving on the board as a Non-Executive Director since October 2020. Prior to Fingerprint Cards, Jörgen has a long background in the Ericsson group, amongst other positions he was Executive VP for ST-Ericsson. He is currently serving as Chairman of Zwipe AS in Norway and board member of Tobii AB in Sweden, Milepost AB in Sweden and Wirepas Oy in Finland.
"I am delighted with my recent appointment as Chairman for Cambridge Mechatronics. As a company, CML continues to grow, and our Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuators have seen an increased uptake across several major smartphone camera manufacturers in Asia throughout 2022. At CML we are continually developing to meet the market’s needs, this has included new products like our Sensor-Shift and 8-Wire actuators, whilst upscaling our silicon strategy to provide optimum SMA control and system performance. We look forward to sharing further details soon."
- Jörgen Lantto, Chairman
CML remains grateful to our outgoing Chairman, Dr Martin Knight, for his leadership and direction since 2013. Martin will remain a valued board member, sitting as a Non-Executive Director alongside our Managing Director, Andy Osmant, and our other board members, Stewart Newton, Geoff McFarland, Neil Lerner, and Dr Raj Talluri.
As we move towards 2023, the outlook remains bright for CML, with further opportunities for growth such as the recently announced collaboration with Fluid-o-Tech in the development of cutting-edge SMA precision fluid control products. As the world emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic, we additionally look forward to connecting with businesses and partners at upcoming consumer events and exhibitions in 2023.
About CML: Cambridge Mechatronics Limited (CML) is a world-leading developer of mechanical, optical, electrical, silicon and software designs for system level solutions using its Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) platform technology.
