Cambridge Mechatronics Limited (CML) is a multi-disciplinary company, developing camera module solutions utilising our cutting-edge shape memory alloy (SMA) technology. Our technology is shipping in top tier flagship smartphones, as well as inside drones, wearable devices, and other consumer products.
We have approximately 650 granted and pending patents based around our platform technology, which allows the control, positioning and movement of smart materials with high precision.
CML’s SMA wire is thinner than the width of a human hair and can be positioned with the accuracy of the wavelength of light. CML is the only company in the world to master and control these materials with such exceptional accuracy.

About you
We are looking for a B2B marketing communications professional to join our world-class team. This position is essential in supporting the rapid growth and success of the company, and our extensive and growing number of customer projects.
We are looking for someone who is passionate, interested and interesting. You will need to be able to play a significant role in a highly skilled team, prioritising activities, balancing long and short-term objectives and finding efficient ways to solve problems.
Main responsibilities

Lead the planning, creation and management of CML’s website / social media content and marketing campaigns

Collaborate with CML’s engineering experts to author professional technical content

Co-ordinate with graphic artists to create suitable imagery for use on CML’s website, social media and corporate presentations.

Track effectiveness of market campaigns, delivering a regular report to our executives

Lead CML’s engagement in organising events, arranging sponsorship, planning booths and supporting technology promotion activities

Engage with relevant technology media outlets to boost brand awareness

Monitor news outlets regularly to keep informed of important industry events

Author and publish internal and external newsletters
Essential skills / experience
-
A business / marketing degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised body such as CIM
-
At least 5 years’ experience in B2B marketing communications

Demonstrable ability to develop engaging content using own initiative

Experience using a wide variety of office SW

Experience of website authoring using a CMS

Producing technical marking collateral
Desirable skills / experience:

Experience in B2B marketing communications at a technology company

Experience of planning and managing participation at industry events

Experience of website analytics, SEO and CRM tools
