Cambridge Mechatronics Limited (CML) is a multi-disciplinary developing camera module solutions utilising our cutting-edge shape memory alloy (SMA) technology. Our technology is shipping in top tier flagship smartphones, as well as inside drones, wearable devices and other consumer devices.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records for the company's growing silicon supply business unit. The role will involve close working with the Head of Finance and Supply Line Manager to assist in the set up and maintenance of a new MRP/ERP system as the business increases the level of inventory held. The role offers exciting opportunities for development as the silicon business unit evolves.
You will also assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and local statutory accounts for the company's overseas subsidiaries and have a proactive and “can do” outlook.
Assist in the set up and maintenance of a new MRP/ERP system for inventory management
Preparation of inventory forecast and financial model to ensure effective cash flow management and to feed in to budgetary processes
Ensure the supply line runs effectively through the management of purchase orders, order acknowledgements, invoicing and credit control
Manage foreign currency exposure arising from purchase and sale of inventory in overseas territories
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations relevant to the silicon supply business unit
Identifying and reporting on KPIs relevant to the silicon supply business unit
Maintain monthly management accounts, including processing intercompany transactions and performing profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations, for the company's overseas subsidiaries
Preparation of statutory accounts for the company's overseas subsidiaries, with assistance from local third party accountants
Forecast cash flow requirements and assist with setting the annual budget for overseas subsidiaries
Assist with audit schedule and liaising with external auditors
Contribute to continued improvement of financial systems, reporting and processes as the business scales
Key competencies / Character Attributes
Previous experience managing stock system/ERP in a fabless manufacturing environment
Previous experience of managing stock at multiple locations, including at distributors' sites
Familiarity with financial reporting software aimed at medium sized businesses, ideally Sage 200
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proactive approach to problem solving
Capable and comfortable of taking an ownership role on certain activities/projects
Able to prioritise workload and ensure tasks are completed on time or ahead of time
Type and Level of Education / Experience
- Candidates are required to be fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with at least 3 years PQE
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally across geographical borders
- Sage 200 experience (desirable)
- Chinese speaking (desirable)
- Experience of local accounting and filing requirements in Greater China region (desirable)
