Nabilah: Camera engineer

I grew up a little way away in Dubai and came to Loughborough University to do a Bachelors in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. I stayed on to do a PhD in mechatronic trains and then worked on electric vehicles as a post doc. I joined CML in October 2020.

I am a camera engineer at CML and am responsible for testing their performance. This involves running various tests, analysing results, and debugging failures. I regularly need to code, fault-find electronics issues, design and perform tests using our in-house tools. The work is varied and enables me to learn new things along the way. I regularly work alongside colleagues in the performance team as well as the electronics and mechanical teams which is a great learning opportunity

I really enjoy working at CML alongside such knowledgeable and friendly colleagues. I appreciate being given key responsibilities and feel happy to contribute to the interesting work that we do.
