Seiko Instruments Inc becomes first manufacturing licensee of Cambridge Mechatronics’ SMA technology

Cambridge, UK, August 17th, 2009, Cambridge Mechatronics Ltd (CML), a leading developer of Intellectual Property and components for precision electronic actuators used in high volume consumer products, today announced that Seiko Instruments Inc. has become the first licensee of its Shape Memory Alloy Auto-Focus (SMAA-F) actuator technology.

Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII), headquartered in Chiba, Japan, one of the world’s leading providers of mechatronic products and components, will start production at its Morioka Seiko Factory situated in Shizukuishi, Iwate, Japan.
