In August 2008, 1 Ltd became Cambridge Mechatronics. A name encapsulating our proximity to Cambridge and its science-based resource and the company's core technology which is actuator development.
Cambridge Mechatronics licenses proprietary IP for actuator devices and ancillary technology for mass market applications. The company's technology has redefined solutions for applications including miniature auto-focus (AF) and zoom camera technology and loudspeakers for audio and TV systems. Utilising patented designs targeted at specific applications our products address the customer's requirement for low cost, compact solutions with the mobile Holy Grail of low energy consumption.
